I'm gonna post wedding pictures in batches, Starting with my Bridal Shots.

First, Thanks:
I can not thank my Chrissy (ellyr_in_ink for suggesting my mother's room and my living room as the place for the Bridal shots.
She knew exactly what I wanted and countered all the pressure to have them in a garden or somewhere "nice." Nah, I'm a huge sentimental/family Hisotry person and she knew that and she suggested absolutely the perfect location.

These shots would not have been the same without her. She was also there that day to help me get ready and stay sane, and to suggest ideas (and tie my bow *L*). Again, so much thanks to her.

Much thanks to Alistair, my photographer, and his assitant Natalia. They did an amazing job. You guys rock. Will certainly be spreading your name around.

Also thanks to Chip, who fixed the house up so my mother ceased to panic that the shots were at the house. All for free. It was his wedding gift to me and it was lovely.

And thanks to Elaine, the hairdresser and makeup artist and friend to my moim. She did a spectacular job.

And finally of course, thanks to my mom and dad for being their and being awesome.

And I've been watching forensic files this whole time. I love this show so much. It's fascinating. Rob teases me though and says I'm planning something and taking notes *LOL*

I also just spent 50.00 on two pairs of shoes for work. Cute black ones (omg so cute) and adorable hunter green shoes which are hysterical because my bridesmaids had MASSIVE problems finding hunter green dresses ... but I could find hunter green shoes *shakes head*

I've divided the music into two catagories

1. Eating (classica/movie themese/and slower songs that aren't good for dancing like Bridge Over Troubled Water)

And I'd issue a challenge to guess which fics are Marvel and which fics are BSG, but as I use character names a lot in these quotes, it's probably pretty clear what is what.

Also Brandon and I got our marriage lIcense friday! yay!

And I had the bachlorette party last night.ellyr_in_ink put it together, and her two sisters as well as kijikun all came. it was very simple, very laid back and very small, and I was very thankful.

I also got WAY cute things to wear *smirks at brandon*

MUWAHAHAHAHAHA
I have four of the 7 mats done for the centerpieces.
Bascially I'm taking photos of me and Brandon, making an 11 by 11 collage in photoshop, then making it sepia.

I will then go to office max and have them print, cut and laminate each one.
Then I will put little jars from my grandparents/parents/goodwill on them that contain either fake flowers or fake candles (Fake flower because I do NOT want to be doing this the night before fake candles because we can't have real ones in the science resource center) and sprinkle pretty little beige flower accents around the mat.

If I can find glass to lay on top that'd be even more awsome than lamination, but 11 by 11 glass would probably need to be cut, and there are small kids, and I didn't think of it until just now and maybe I should price that and check the safety. hmmmmmmmmm

Maybe plexiglass . . . *contemplates*

Oh well, the hard part is the collage, and picking out the peices to go on the table.

This also kills two birds with one project in that all the photos I scan in to have options for the matt also get to go to the slideshow.

Right now I'm scanning in 5 bajillion photos.

I'm lucky I've picked out most of mine.
But in fairness to Brandon, whose mother picked his out, I've pretty much included everythign I could find.

My parents lost the photo box so it's basically whatever I had. Luckily I have obsessively taken photos I think would make good James and/or Lily And Baby Harry references from my home for the past 5 years, which means ACTUALLY I have a lot.

SO YAY.

I had a half formed rant about about being irritated over peopel flipping out that over an American is playing Sherlock Holmes (no really I don't get that, but then people are also flipping out if someone suggest Englsh or Canadian actors for Captain America. I don't get that either), but I don't have the enrgy for a real rant; however, to back up part of my rant, I tried to find the nationality of every actor who'd ever played Sherlock Holmes and I learned something . . . .

I HELL of a lot of people have played Sherlock Holmes. Holy God 0.o

In an effort to raise some wedding money I thought now might be a good time to sell some art I'd like to sell anyhow.

First let me show you some examples of the kind of art I'd be selling (keep in mind some images have minor digital altering, so the actual work my not be 100% the same as the link here)

For sure I'll be putting up: Regulus Watercolor, Kara and Anders gag sketch, Snarry_Games 2006 entry, Snarry_Games 2007 entry, Star Trek TNG Crossover.

Back in september I actually pulled a lot more so I'll post a complete list if there's interest.

What I've considered so far:
I think I'd like to Nijo Castle and I saw there was a river boar thingy from Kameoka to Arashyama which looked nice, and a walk called the philosopher's walk. Also probably should see the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

I haven't kept up with my Japanese and even at my most studious, I spoke kindergarten level Japanese *at best.* So, as much as I'd love to just wander about a foreign country, touristy places expecting English speaking morons are probably better for us.

I am trying to collect them for my wedding.

I don't have a lot, but I've noticed a few on flckr and I was wondering if I might be able to dredge up a few more

'cause you know if we are gonna show my Brandon decked out in Spiderman swimming gear I figure I owe him some shots of me being a total Harry Potter geek.

Also, aside from candles (which are not allowed at my reception area) and flowers (which are allowed but I need variety) what other things strike you as something I could decorate with at a wedding?

I'm considering for my centerpiece clear glass jars with printouts of photos of little me and Bradon on the inside, and I'm guessing those would need flowers on the inside.

I'm sincerely considering fake flowers though, to save hassel and allow them to be pre-made. I'm also thinking of seeing of we can't dredge up some family related stuff jsut to put here and there.

I'm about to put tiered cake stands and just put totally plain cakes on them. Maybe with an artifical flower on the stand or something for color.

Which you know really just probably means I'm hearing it too much.
Seriously I want to three seperate stores and it was playing and I jumped between radio stations and the two pop stations were both playing that song.

And I need to concentrate on my wedding planning.
The HP-Art-Project is becoming a procrastination tool for my wedding which is just overwhelming me right now to the point of me not wanting to think about it so I busy myself with other tasks so as to not think about it.

Ok for the record I cheated *sorta*. Whenever I saw this meme, I never had my camera, or I had it but it was dead. So in the car on the way home from work a few days ago I rembered this meme, realized had my camera, and it was charged, so I took the shot while stopped at a light.

Speaking of wedding dresses, one thing I've been pondering recently (because I'm tired of pondering the economy) is on Battlestar Galactica, where the beejeesus did Serina get her wedding dress?!

My first thought is she made it, but that's still a lot of fabric to round up, plus it's a lot of fabric of a type that I wouldn't think you'd fine easily on a military ship (unless one of the guys had a secret satin and chiffon stash but yeah no).

So I guess the cylon attack interrupted someone's wedding and maybe the woman traded her wedding outfit for some normal clothes of Serina's or something.
Who knows. That's the only thing that makes any kind of sense to me.

And yes I realize I'm thinking way too hard about it.

So next question.
What did Apollo do with her Wedding dress? Keep it for sentimental value or donate it as extra cloth given the very likely massive shortages of cloth and such on the fleet?

HAVE FUN! TAKE PICTURES! I want to feel like I was there via stories and photos! I'm trying to work out a way to go next year because it just I mean I don’t know why I've ENVER gone myself. Maybe I should kick my father again about selling comics and the con.
