Politican on Radio Say What?

Facepalm
So this is a very sensitive subject but I want to get it off my chest.

I don't like that I'm seeing certain news people using the recent events in Iran to argue for US military action in Iran. And it's some of the liberal news peoples who used to opposse this, which makes it doubly scary,
Thankfully it's not widespread that I've noticed, but just localized,

But still, -_-

What drives me crazy is the reasons, good, bad, corrupt, and heroic, we have to go in there now are the same as we had in 2008, just more dramamtically demonstrated.

But after Iraq, it's very hard for me not to be cynical about either party propping up recent events as an excuse for military action in Iran.

And heck, I'm not against military action to help other nations. Heck we wouldn't be a country if France hadn't helped us. Granted they did that to weaken England . . which is sorta my point. I don't trust the motives of the politicans, and yes, that includes Obama if it comes to it. If there was a non-profit clause on going to war and no politican could be connected to anyone or anything that profited from a war . . . I might be more trusting but AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAH is that a fantasy.

"saving the people from teh evil regime and WMDs" is why we've been in Iraq forever, and this is just too similar, especially knowing politicans were considering war with Iran already.

So yeah, I just wanted to get that off my chest.
Like i said, it's not widespread but I've seen it starting to go around, and it worries me.

:(

I don't want to do nothing, but I don't want another Iraq either.

Whoa whoa whoa

what the fuck is this shit

Dear morons in congress the lead in the children toys was in toys from you know CHINA, or something like that. Some area with crap safety testing. Or ok even if it was the US and I misremember it was BIG BUSINESS corporate shit.

So because of this you're gonna pass a law that smites small American craft based business and Libraries? Amoung other things?

Are stupid pills required for Congress or are you guys that way naturally?

You know the said thing? I can go to the dollar store and buy drinking cups that have big warning labels on them telling me the contain lead. But you are going to make libraries toss out books (BOOKS!!!) for not having been lead tested.

God damn it.
This is why I hate politicians.

OMG SQuee!
Ok so yes I'm highly skeptical on this whole change and hope business as far as it concerns politics. I have faith in God, not men, and certainly not politicans.

So I need to some new actions not just words (especially given I think a lot of his words were were disproven be previous Senate actions).

This is a wonderful start, and no I don't mean that sarcastically. This really is a good start

Now if he'd just address the issue about his his appointment to the Secretary of the Treasury and that tax evasion issue, which no, is not a tiny oversight

Though some of y'all would get a kick outta knowing this:

The President of the Republic of Kenya Hon Mwai Kibaki, has announced that tomorrow Thursday 06 November is to be a public holiday in Kenya. President Mwai Kibaki congratulates Senator Barak Obama for winning the election to be the 44th President of the United States of America.

It's nice to not be hated by the world again.
I don't think I've felt this much love since 9/11/01. That sounds like a funny day to feel love on, but I just recall all the support and such the US was given by pretty much everyone in the aftermath of that tragedy.

Its interesting watching the reactions of people around here.
They're far less negative than I expected.

For those of you who don't know, I live in a Bible Belt section of Texas, so I feared the worse. But, pretty much the reaction I'm seeing is summed up like this:

"He wasn't my choice, but if this was God's will, I can accept it and move on"

Which is kinda cool and surprisingly down to earth. I just want to say that because I know some people are being major racist asshats Obama winning, so for the record, not everyone is like that.

Third Party Voter

I've decided how to vote.
I'm voting third party. Either Libertarian or Constitutional.

I'd like to see third parties as a stronger option, so since I think both the Dem. and Repub. candidate kinda suck why not try to legitimizing a third party to shake things up between the stupid self assured idioicy that composes the Republican and Democrate parties *shrugs*

BY THE WAY!
In news you won't beleive.

McCain and Obama are listed on the Texas Ballot ILLEGALLY
Yeah, seriously. You know all those crazy hoops third parties have to jump through to get on a ballot? One of them for Texas is you need to declare your nomination by August (I thik 8/26).

The Libertarians did this.
The Constitutional Party did this
The Green party did this.

The Democrates did not.
The Republicans did not.

Per Texas law if you don't declare yourself by teh appointed time, you can not be listed on the ballot as a candidate for the presidency.

Of course a State Court overruled the restriction and both Dems and Repubs are back on the ballot (this is actually old news. It all went down in September)

You think this would have happened for the small third parties? HELL NO!!
To draw attention to this, Bob Barr (Libertarian) actually went to court to try and have McCain and Obama removed from the Texas Ballot. He lost of course, but winning wasn't the point. The point was to point out how the Big Two get away with murder and unfairly squash third parties.

So I just want to draw attention to it too because it's interesting.

Aw shoot
Why to betray the trust Obama.
I hope McCain rakes you over the coals you f'en moron.

Obama voted in favor of the FISA bill, that bill he said he'd fillabuster if it granted the telecom companies immunity.
It does.
He didn't.
He voted for it.

His opposition to it was a major point in his favor.
Now his ability to play ball with the Bush administration is a HUGE point against him.

And I'm fiscally conservative (Libertarian) so Obama was already not exactly my wonderkin canidate or anything.

I'm very very disillusioned by this.
