I love this movies, seriously.
Ok I flat out love Danny Kaye. I grew up not only watching his movies (Court Jester being the most watched) but with my grandfather, Pepere, doing Danny Kay routines.

My joy over this amazing and unexpected gift was so much that I made icons

Now I need to get Holiday Inn (which is where the song White Christmas actually originated, not in this movie =P)

I had a great Thanksgiving.
Well minus the part where Brandon and I failed to get together because of conflicting Holiday dinner times, which we'll have to sort better next year.

But Memere and Pepere were there, my brother came down from collage, and a family friend also came over. My sister was absent and much missed.

The Family friend brought his guitar and we sang some songs/hymns, which was nostalgic for my parents and grandparents.

We also sang "Where have all the Flowers Gone" which was kinda sad but I think appropriate.

Nothing makes a gathering quite as memorable (IMHO) as singing, especially if someone has a guitar.

We also reminisced about Big Dad and B, and Pepere and Memere told stories about mom when she was little.

I have always resented the comments that it was I who was the homewrecker of Larry's marriage to Vivien Leigh. Danny Kaye was attached to Larry far earlier than I. - Joan Plowright

"Larry" would be Laurence Olivier, Joan IIRC was his second (?) wife . . .
and she does mean "attached" in a sexual way.

I can ttoallys ee how you thought she might have been ok, but once it was clear she was not, and once it was clear she REALLY was not, how could you keep pushing? Was getting the Lexicon into a book truely that big a deal for you?
