Sad news for me
JMS has announced he will not be making anymore Lost Tales for the Babylon 5 series. Simply said, he was told he could only do it with an insultingly small budget and felt that any further Tales on such a msall budget would detract from B5 rather than add to it, so he said big budget movie or nothing.
*sigh*
Granted I'm one of the few BSG fans to like Lost Tales and not think it subtracted from the series, so I'm more dissapointed than most B5 fans :(
JMS!!! MAKE B5 GRPAHIC NOVELS!
Happy News for me:
I have a GAIN (see GAIN) of 963 dollars form what was first invested in my stocks ^__^
Did you know I have stock (unrelated to a 401K)? I do, but I usually forget that I do until I realize I can't find the stok information I need for my tax form ^^;;
Anyway, my stock still has a net gain, in fact, my stock is not as low as it has been. People are telling me it's like the next Black Friday and I should dump my stocks but DUDE NO. My stock was picked as the strongest stock of 2008. *huggles it* It is doing well, yes it's dropping, of course, everything is, but it dropped to under a friggen dollar in 1999 and you know what it was in 2005? 66 dollars a share! Do you know how dumb I feel for not buing more in 1999 (it's currently at 14.00 a share, so I'd still be doing well if I'd bought in 1999).
So I'm gonna set back and let it do it's thing again. It's not like I'm retiring anytime soon -_-

Boxey is way too well adjusted a child.
Just thinking.
Also I was reading the Babylon 5 script book and found out that the Gropo Garibladi refused to sleep with was an ex-girlfriend of Jerry Doyle (the actor who play Garibaldi) =P
Suddenly Jerry Doyle's request to have the scene dropped is WAY funnier.
It was interesting though because the writer complains that he doesn't think it works and looks watered down and Jerry Doyle should have sucked it up and done the scene but honestly that was always one of my favorite Garibaldi moments because it surprised me, but dind't seem out of character.
He was all about trying to be a better person and trying to make up for his past and it was like he had this realization that if he really wanted to show he was seriously interested in Talia (or Lisa as I think they switched it to in the 5th season, but I will still say Talia) he probably should forgo the meaningless one night stand. It was interesting and well done and IMHO against the norm.
I also think it became important later in that I felt more when Talia left suddenly because the scene in GROPOS and really shown just how interested in her Garibaldi was.
And now to go eat Pizza. Yum!
ETa
On his radio show [Jerry Doyle] coined the phrase "Grapefruit Mentality", defined as the ability for the public to become interested in an object or person just because the media is paying attention to it. As an example, Doyle explains if there was a segment on the news every night with a television camera pointed at a grapefruit, people will eventually travel great distances just to see the grapefruit that was on TV.
Yeah that is probably true *sigh*

How do you want your favorite series to end? What do you want to see in the last episode, the last scene, the last frame even? Marriage, death, babies? Rocket ships, Armageddon, a sunset or a sunrise? What's the dialogue, who are the characters, and is there a happily ever after? Or do you want it to be rocks fall; everyone dies?
I want to answer except . . .
All my favorite shows have ended! (Well, not House or Gossip Girl, but I don’t have any ending I want honestly).
( So let’s talk about show I like and my reaction to the ending of Babylon 5, Millennium, A-team, and Battlestar Galactica )
