This is something I should have covered way sooner and my apologies to Andrew for taking so long *blush*

HP FANARTISTS and anyone else interested in a good cause
Have you heard of The Harry Potter Alliance?

This is *not* an Alliance of the HP fandom but rather a not for profit organization dedicated to helping expand the lessons about community, love, and serving a bigger and better a cause from the real of HP fiction into the realm of our real world.
You can read their Mission Statement here

Which you know is pretty fricken amazing.

I had the luck to learn of this by running into Andrew Slack at Portus and he asked if I could help bring their cause to the attention of the Fanartist Community.

They need help from the fanart community for utilitarian things, like banners for their site, banners to spread the word and other such things but also, we can be used to help their cause and he'd love brainstorming about that.

And if you think about it, fanartists already have done several charity auctions that would easily fit in with the HPA.
art2therescue (Tsunami Victim fund raiser) and HPQFAC (Aids fund raiser)just to name two. Maybe in the future, with HPA's help charity art auctions like these can raise even more money.
