RECS ARE NOW CLOSED for Reccing AND Voting!

Thanks to everyone who weighted in. I'm busy getting all of this on the site now, so for my sanity, I'm cutting it off. I'll re-open this all to votes in probably two months (because that's probably how long it will take to get all the art up! Oy Vey!)





Just for fun and in the interest of promoting Gen, I present . . The GEN ART rec list.

Pretty much same deal as the Fic list; in fact, I'm just modifying chthonya's rules so the two gen rec lits kinda correspond.

I'll put the final, compiled list on it's own LJ (or webpage) and probably (hopefully) run similar reccing frenzies at least four times a year as a way of updating (because if I just start reccing art it becomes Ani's Gen art rec list)

Rules (there are some ETA's in bold ^^)
1) To recommend artwork, please respond to this post and use this template:

In the Subject heading write either
A. The title of the art or "art rec"
(this will help keep me sane when I check my e-mail ^^)

In the entry write:
Title:
Rating:
character(s):
artist:
Notes: (optional)
LINK:

1) To second a recommendation, reply to the comment for that fic with 'Seconded' or 'I agree' etc in the subject line again this will keep my sane when I check me e-mail. You can say whatever you like in the entry

2) Recs that receive FOUR comments (making five votes in total) will be added to the masterlist; please don't add to the comments if there are already four for that rec. (more room for more recs, yes)

3) Genart is anything in which shippyness is not the main focus. If the main focus is an argument between Lily and James that's fine. At the moment, it's non shippy. If the main focus is Peter playing chess, but in the background, Remus and Sirius are holding hands, that's also fine. If the main focus is Snape and James in the a scarf together looking happy . . I'd count that as ship unless there'ssome real good gen explanation.

4) If someone art that you feel is too shippy to count as gen, feel free to comment and say so, but put in the heading "Possibly Shippy" So it stands out in my inbox ^^

5) Please don't rec or vote on your own art (whether completely your own or part of a collab)! It's okay to vote for art you betaed.

6) After some thought . . . I'm gonna count wank art as shippy. To me, the idea of Gen is that sex is not the main focus and even if wank is technically non ship I'm gonna count it as the ship of hand/whomever and not allow it. Sorry. ^^
